The National Truth Commission, installed to investigate crimes committed during the military dictatorship, revealed a still very obscure chapter in our history: the existence of an indigenous prison, the Krenak Reformatory. It was built within the territory of the Krenak ethnic group in Resplendor (MG), where indigenous people of different ethnicities were arrested and tortured.
